Description

The same comprehensive women’s health panel as our at-home test, collected at a clinic instead — which means you receive all 46 markers, including the seven blood-count markers a finger-prick sample cannot report.

We give you access to your data — not medical advice. This test returns laboratory results and general information only. It is not a diagnosis, a treatment or a clinical opinion. No clinician reviews or comments on your results before they reach you — you receive your numbers against standard reference ranges, and interpreting them is for you and your GP. If a result falls outside the reference range, or you feel unwell, contact your GP; in an emergency call 111 or 999. You must be 18 or over to order.

Why a clinic appointment returns more than a home kit: platelets, mean platelet volume and the white-cell differential can only be measured reliably from a venous sample. A finger-prick test cannot report them. Because a phlebotomist takes this sample and it is couriered directly to the laboratory, there is also no risk of it being rejected in the post.

Who this test is for

The panel to choose if you want the complete picture rather than the portion a finger-prick can deliver — particularly the white-cell differential and platelets, which are venous-only. It also suits anyone who would rather a professional took the sample, or who has found a home kit difficult before. If you would rather collect the sample at home, the at-home version covers 39 of these 46 markers.

How the clinic test works

  1. Order online — checkout takes a couple of minutes.
  2. Book your appointment — we email you a booking link. You choose the clinic, date and time that suit you from our UK partner clinic network, and you can reschedule yourself later if you need to. There is nothing to pay at the clinic.
  3. Give your sample — a trained phlebotomist takes a venous blood sample. It takes a few minutes.
  4. Couriered to the laboratory — your sample goes straight to a CQC-registered, UKAS-accredited UK laboratory. Nothing to post, and no risk of a sample being rejected in transit.
  5. Your private results — a secure, password-protected report of your numbers against reference ranges, sent as soon as the laboratory reports them.

Understanding your results

Your report shows each marker against its reference range so you can see your numbers clearly. This test is for information and monitoring, not diagnosis; take anything outside range to your GP. Your results are private. They are handled as confidential health data and delivered to you securely. They are shared only with our laboratory partner in order to process your test, and otherwise never without your consent.

Ultimate Women’s Health Blood Test (Clinic) — frequently asked questions

What do I get that the at-home version does not?

Seven further markers. Platelets, mean platelet volume, lymphocytes, monocytes, neutrophils, eosinophils and basophils can only be measured reliably from a venous sample, so a finger-prick test reports 39 of the 46 markers. Collected at a clinic you receive all 46.

Where are the clinics?

We use a UK-wide partner clinic network. You pick the location that suits you from the booking link we send after you order.

How do I book my appointment?

We email you a booking link once your order is placed. You choose the clinic, date and time yourself, and you can reschedule directly from the confirmation email if your plans change. There is nothing to pay at the clinic — the appointment is included.

When in my cycle should I test?

For the hormone markers, days 2-5 of your cycle is the usual window. Note the date of your appointment and give it to your GP, because the hormone markers can only be read in that context.

Is a venous sample more accurate?

For the markers both tests share, a finger-prick sample is validated by our laboratory and analysed to the same accredited standard. The difference is coverage, not quality — some markers cannot be measured from a finger-prick at all.
