Description
When training is the priority, guesswork is expensive. This advanced athlete blood test is a venous draw at one of our partner clinics, giving lab-grade detail a finger-prick can’t — so you can track the markers athletes use to monitor training stress, recovery and micronutrient status across a season.
We give you access to your data — not medical advice. This test returns laboratory results and general information only. It is not a diagnosis, a treatment or a clinical opinion. No clinician reviews or comments on your results before they reach you — you receive your numbers against standard reference ranges, and interpreting them is for you and your GP. If a result falls outside the reference range, or you feel unwell, contact your GP; in an emergency call 111 or 999. You must be 18 or over to order.

Who this test is for
Serious and masters athletes who want to train on evidence — monitoring recovery, the stress-to-anabolic balance and micronutrient status across a season. For the deepest possible baseline, see the Ultimate Longevity panel.
How the test works
- Order online — checkout takes a couple of minutes.
- Book your appointment — choose one of our UK partner clinic network across the UK for a quick venous blood draw.
- Your sample is couriered to a CQC-registered, UKAS-accredited UK laboratory.
- Your private results — a clear, secure PDF report of your numbers, sent as soon as the laboratory reports them.
Understanding your results
The testosterone-to-cortisol ratio and full blood count differentials are particularly useful for tracking training stress and recovery over time. This test is for information and monitoring, not diagnosis; discuss anything outside range with a doctor. Your results are private. They are handled as confidential health data and delivered to you securely. They are shared only with our laboratory partner in order to process your test, and otherwise never without your consent.
Athlete blood test — frequently asked questions
Why is this a clinic (venous) test rather than a home kit?
The full white-cell differentials and the breadth of this panel require a venous blood draw, which we arrange at one of our UK partner clinic network across the UK.
Should I test rested or after training?
For a baseline, test rested and, ideally, fasted in the morning. Testing in a heavy training phase can also be useful to see the effect of load — just be consistent so results are comparable.
What is the testosterone-to-cortisol ratio?
It reflects the balance between anabolic (building) and catabolic (stress) signals, and is often used by athletes to monitor recovery and overtraining risk.
How do I book my clinic appointment?
After ordering, you’ll be able to book a convenient appointment at a partner clinic for your venous sample.
When will I get my results?
Typicallysent as soon as the laboratory reports them of the laboratory receiving your sample.
