Description
The Op Life Peptide Cooler Bag is a hard-shell insulated travel case that keeps reconstituted peptides and injector pens cool for several hours away from a fridge. It measures 20 × 7 × 5 cm, holds two reusable injector pens plus vials, needles and swabs, and includes a reusable gel refrigeration strip. Available in black, teal and navy.
Why reconstituted peptides need a cooler bag
A freeze-dried peptide vial is forgiving. Once you add bacteriostatic water, it stops being shelf-stable — reconstituted peptides are kept at fridge temperature, 2–8 °C, and degrade faster the warmer and the longer they sit out.
That is easy at home and awkward everywhere else: the commute, the gym bag, a weekend away, a day at the office with no fridge. A mixed vial left in a warm car or a rucksack in summer is the quickest way to waste it. A peptide cooler bag bridges that gap. It is not a replacement for your fridge — it gets your kit from one fridge to the next without a warm stretch in the middle.
How the gel refrigeration strip works
Freeze the included gel strip overnight, slot it into the mesh lid pocket, and close the case. The rigid EVA shell insulates while the frozen strip absorbs heat as it thaws, holding the interior cool for several hours — long enough for a commute, a training session or a full day out. Refreeze it afterwards; the strip is reusable indefinitely.
Two practical notes. Don’t rest a glass vial directly against a frozen strip for long stretches — peptides dislike freeze-thaw cycling as much as they dislike heat, which is exactly why the mesh pocket keeps the strip separated from the main compartment. And on longer journeys, a second strip swapped in halfway roughly doubles the useful cool window.

What fits inside
The elastic retention band is sized for standard 3 ml reusable injector pens, including the Op Life Reusable Peptide Pen Injector and the pen supplied in the Peptide Pen Kit. The double pocket takes loose vials, a strip of 31G pen needles and alcohol swabs. If you carry more than a couple of vials, the Peptide Vial Storage Case holds four in fitted slots and sits alongside it.
Care
Wipe the shell and lining with a damp cloth; don’t submerge the case. Wash the gel strip under a tap and dry it before refreezing. Store the case open when it isn’t in use so the interior dries out fully.
Pairs with
Built to work with the Op Life pen hardware range — the Peptide Pen Case for everyday protection, the 4-Vial Storage Case for organising a full protocol, and 3 ml sterile glass cartridges for refills.
Frequently asked questions
How long does the peptide cooler bag stay cold?
Several hours from a fully frozen gel strip — enough for a commute, a gym session or a day out. Exact duration depends on ambient temperature and how often you open the case. On a hot day, or for a longer trip, swap in a second frozen strip halfway.
Does it hold a steady 2–8 °C like a fridge?
No. This is an insulated travel case, not a powered refrigeration unit. It slows warming considerably but does not hold a regulated temperature. For storage beyond a few hours, keep reconstituted peptides in a fridge at 2–8 °C.
Do I need a cooler bag for unmixed vials?
Generally no. Lyophilised (freeze-dried) peptide vials are far more stable at room temperature than reconstituted ones. The cooler bag matters most once bacteriostatic water has been added — and for carrying a pen that already has a loaded cartridge in it.
Will it fit my injector pen?
It holds two standard 3 ml reusable injector pens under the elastic band, including the Op Life pen. Larger fixed-dose or 6 ml pens may not sit under the retention band, though they will usually still fit in the main compartment.
Can I take it in hand luggage?
At 20 × 7 × 5 cm the case itself is comfortably cabin-sized. Gel packs are subject to the same airport security rules as other gels and are normally required to be fully frozen at the checkpoint — check your airline and airport rules before you fly, as they vary.
Can I use it without the gel strip?
Yes. Without a frozen strip it works as a rigid protective case for pens and vials — it simply won’t keep anything cool.
How many vials does it hold?
The pockets take several loose vials alongside two pens. For a tidier, better-protected set-up, the 4-Vial Storage Case slots in and keeps each vial upright and separated.
General storage accessory for research materials. Not a refrigeration unit — for storage beyond a few hours, keep reconstituted peptides refrigerated at 2–8 °C.
